For small business
Private AI for your office
Put a capable AI assistant on one computer in your office. Customer records, contracts, and price lists stay with you, and there's no monthly bill for every employee.
What your team can do
An assistant that knows your business
Answer customers faster
Draft replies to emails and messages in your voice, from your own price lists, policies, and past answers.
Ask your own files
Connect shared folders, PDFs (scanned ones too), spreadsheets, and databases. Answers cite the passage they came from.
Read the long documents
Summarize contracts, filings, proposals, and reports, and pull out dates, amounts, and obligations.
Write the first draft
Letters, quotes, job posts, procedures, and social posts — then edit instead of starting from a blank page.
Run the routine on a schedule
Describe an automation in plain words — a morning summary, a weekly check — and get notified when it matters.
Work in more than one language
Toskar's interface comes in ten languages, and models answer customers in theirs.
Where it fits
Offices that handle other people's information
If your clients trust you with their details, an assistant that keeps them in your office is the safer default.
Accounting and bookkeeping
Ask questions of client files and engagement letters without sending them to an AI company.
Law offices
Summarize filings and draft first versions with confidential material that stays in the office.
Insurance and real estate
Compare policies and listings, and answer client questions from your own documents.
Trades and field services
Write quotes and job notes, and look up manuals and specs your crews ask about.
Why not a subscription
The same help, without the monthly seat count
Subscription AI charges every person every month, and sends every question to someone else's servers. With Toskar the computer is paid once and the data stays put. The full comparison.
Enter how many people would use it and what a subscription costs per person, and this shows what that adds up to over one to three years, next to a one-time hardware cost.
How it's set up
An office setup, step by step
Step 1
One computer for the office
A Mac with 64 GB of unified memory (a Mac Studio is a common choice), or a PC with a strong graphics card. On 64 GB, every model in Toskar's catalog runs comfortably — the largest needs about 21 GB — with room to keep two or three loaded at once. Choose 128 GB or more for the biggest open models, or add a second computer later and pair it.
Step 2
Install Toskar
Toskar Core installs with one command and runs in the background. Download it and open it in a browser on that computer.
Step 3
Pick the models
Toskar recommends models that fit the computer: a general assistant, a coding model if anyone writes code, and a small embedding model so document search works by meaning.
Step 4
Connect your documents
Point Knowledge at the shared folders, PDFs, and spreadsheets people ask about. They are indexed on that computer and stay there.
Step 5
Give people access
Turn on local network access and create a key for each person or app, with its own limits on memory, documents, and tools. People use Toskar from any chat app or tool that works with the OpenAI API, and coding tools connect over MCP.
Step 6
Keep it private
Web search and outside services stay off until you turn them on, for everyone or per key, and Settings lists everything that ever left.

Good to know
What it doesn't do yet
- One shared Toskar. Everyone uses the same installation, each with their own key and limits. Separate sign-ins and private chat history per person aren't built in yet.
- The office network, not the internet. Access is for a trusted network; reaching it from outside needs a VPN or a secure proxy.
- A computer to look after. It needs to stay on and get updates, like any office machine.
Questions
- What does it cost?
- Toskar has no license fee. You buy the computer once, or use one you have. If you want it set up and looked after, Yeix quotes that separately.
- Does customer data leave the office?
- Not unless you allow it. Answers come from models on your computer. Web search and connected services are off until you turn them on, and Settings lists everything that left.
- Can every employee have their own login?
- Not in Toskar itself yet. Today the office shares one Toskar and each person gets their own key. If separate sign-ins and private chat history matter, Yeix can set up a chat app with its own accounts in front of Toskar.
- Do we need IT staff?
- Someone keeps the computer on and updated, as with any office machine. Yeix can install it, keep it updated, and be the people you call.
- Can people use it from home?
- It is built for the office network. Reaching it from outside needs a secure connection such as a VPN; Yeix can set that up.
