Share Toskar with other people

Everyone in your home or team can use the same Toskar, each with their own chats, memories, files, and automations. Nobody sees anyone else's, not even the Owner. Models, tools, knowledge, and profiles are shared.

Whoever installed Toskar is the Owner and uses it on this computer without signing in. Admins manage models, tools, knowledge, computers, settings, and people other than Admins and the Owner. Members chat and have their own memories and automations. Visitors only chat. Each person sees only the pages their role can use.

Everyone chooses their own App language, the language answers are written in, and Personalization in Settings. Until they do, they have the Owner's.

Who signs in how, from another computer or device: people sign in with their username and password, in any browser. Phones, tablets, watches, and TVs connect with a 6-digit code, under Connect a device. Apps and scripts, such as one using the OpenAI-compatible API, use an API key from API Access. People never need a key. The Owner uses this computer without signing in; to sign in from another device, the Owner makes a sign-in link on People and chooses a password.

Everyone can connect their own phone, tablet, or TV under Settings → Your devices, and disconnect it there. Local network access has to be on first, which an Admin or the Owner turns on.

The People page under Administer lists everyone. Change someone's role there, make them a new password link, or disable them, which signs them out everywhere and stops their keys and automations.

1. Open People, type the person's name, choose a role, and choose Add.
2. If local network access is off, choose Turn on network access under the link, so other devices can open it. No API key is needed: the person signs in with a password.
3. Copy the link and send it to them. It works once, for a week.
4. They open it, choose a username and password, and are signed in. Next time, they sign in at the same address.
5. Forgot a password? Choose New password link next to their name and send them the new link.
